This page explains what Block Party ("we", "us") collects when you visit our site or take our survey, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, reach out at hello@blockparty.app.

What we collect

  • Survey responses. Answers you submit, plus optional demographic details (first name, age range, gender, email).
  • Basic technical data. Device type, browser, approximate location (from IP), and pages viewed. Used to understand how the survey is working and to prevent abuse.
  • Cookies and similar tech. Only after you accept the cookie banner. See "Cookies" below.

How we use it

  • To analyze how people stay informed locally.
  • To improve the survey and the product we're building around it.
  • To follow up with you, only if you gave us your email and only about Block Party.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share individual responses with third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies

No analytics or advertising cookies load until you press "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you press "Reject", we only use the minimum storage required for the site to function (for example, remembering your survey progress on your own device).

You can change your mind any time by clearing your browser storage for this site — the banner will reappear.

Who sees your data

Responses are stored with our hosting and database providers under standard data-protection terms. A small internal team can view responses to analyze results. We may share aggregated, non-identifying findings publicly (for example, "62% of respondents said…").

Your choices

  • Email is always optional.
  • You can ask us to delete your response, or send you a copy of what we have, by emailing the address above.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA. We will honor valid requests.

Retention

We keep survey responses for as long as they are useful for the research described above. Contact info tied to a specific response is deleted on request.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, note the change on the site.
